Story

Our second Need Alert of the week is on behalf of a sheriff”s deputy and his family that have recently been hit very hard financially.

The mother and father already had one son, 3 years old, when they found out that they were going to have another child. Midway through her pregnancy she was laid off from her full-time position as an administrator. At right around the same time, they were made aware of some health issues with the unborn child.

The baby boy who is now 4 months old was born healthy, but did require surgery and is now in physically therapy. The loss of half of their income and the medical bills have left them in serious financial trouble. The father is working extra jobs around his deputy schedule and the mother is working every side job she can find as well. One of the days I talked to her she was digging up fence posts as an odd job for extra money.

The family is a active member of one of our church partners and we would like to help them get back on their feet.  We would like to help them with some bills that they simply can not pay this month. We have reviewed their budget and feel strongly that they will be able to make things work going forward.

Need

Mortgage  – $900

Outstanding Medical Bill – $200

Power Bill – $130

*Also, we are searching for her an administrative position that she can work from home. If you have any ideas or opportunities, please email me directly at rodney@oneneed.org
