We alert you today of a family that is in need because of series of seemingly minor events colliding simultaneously in a sort of perfect storm. Several months ago the wife and mother quit her job to attend full time. The family had looked at the budget and thought that they were ready to make this short-term sacrifice for the long-term gain. However, that same week the husbands hours were cut at work, and he was basically out of work for 14 days. Upon returning to work, he was injured and forced to take off several more days. This family faithfully serves at one of our local church partners, and we are working closely with them. They have developed a plan of action to the right the ship. Currently, the father/husband is working full time at his regular employer, part-time at night, and also doing contract work. He is putting in the hours. The wife/mother is still attending school but is searching for a part-time position. They are now pulling in enough income but have a few bills that are behind, and they just can not catch up while maintaining the standard budget requirements. We would like to help the catch-up.
