Story

We alert you today of a really hard working young woman that we have been walking alongside for some time now. Her family has been in and out of homelessness most of her life and she started college this summer. You may remember Need 17.38 where the One Need Community was able to help her get into her college apartment. Well, she got into her apartment, took summer classes, and made 2 As and 2 Bs. We are very proud and excited for her!

All of the students have to move out for 2 weeks in the summer so that they can renovate the student apartments. She did so and is staying with her friend because her parents are once again homeless. To move back into the student apartment she has to pay her housing fees up front. She has been working full time and had the money. However, her student financing had a glitch and she was forced to pay a large portion of her tuition with her housing money. She is supposed to move in later this week but is short $700. She is such a hard working young person that has already come through so much. We would like to help her one more time to make sure that she can get back to school.
