Story

We alert you this morning a significant need. It is rare that any of us have the opportunity to be a part of something as special as the need we alert you of today.

At just 28 years old this woman was diagnosed with a rare form of cancer that took her left eye, the left part of her nose, and the upper left section of her mouth.

This mother of two children, ages eight and ten, was a school teacher when she was diagnosed but the deformation that the cancer caused prevented her from teaching the children and as a result she was forced to leave teaching. She began volunteering at a christian after school program and has become a beloved member of that ministry to the point that they recently hired her for a part time position.

Through one of our local church partnerships, and The Good Samaritan Health Clinic, we have a special opportunity to truly touch this woman’s life in an amazing way. As you can imagine, the cost of the facial reconstruction is astronomical. However, we have been able to secure a dentist that will provide her with dentures and a prosthetic nose at a fraction of the normal cost.

We would like to provide this woman with new dentures and a paratactic nose and we have the opportunity to do this for $2,300. Please take time and pray through this need. We are going to need everyone to pray, share, and give what they can to make this happen.
