Good Afternoon.

We alert you today of a woman in desperate need of our help. She was abandoned by her husband several years ago and left to provide for their three children alone. She is a diabetic and suffers from diabetic neuropathy. It has been a steady downhill slide for her financially and losing her employment due to health issues has put her on the brink of homelessness. She was forced into bankruptcy in an attempt to save the basic necessities and has sold any and everything she can to hold things together.

She originally contacted our local church partner after attending a Sunday service this week. She asked for employment opportunities. It was only after some conversation that the pastor realized the severity of the need. She will be homeless on Thursday if she does not come up with more resources to pay the motel that she and her 3 kids are staying in. After much discussion and prayer with her we have been able to direct her to our national employment staffing partner. We are hopeful that this connection will prove fruitful. We would also like to provide one month at the extended stay hotel for her. We feel like this will take the day to day pressure off and allow her to focus on securing employment. If you have ever been in this type of situation, you understand that sometimes the immediate can take the place of the important..that leads to a cycle that can seem impossible to escape.  We would like to help her escape this cycle.
