Story

It's Friday!!!

We hope this Need Alert finds you well and looking forward to the weekend.

Before we get into the Need, you should know that the lesson Jesse Horne wrote for this Need Alert is AWESOME. I hope you will check it out! Just click Learn in the "What You Can Do" section of this Need Alert. Ok...onward.

We are working with a victim of domestic violence that needs a partial for her two front teeth. Her husband abused her and during that abuse punched her so hard that it broke her front teeth. She has had the teeth extracted and now needs a partial to complete the process.

She is a member of one of our local church partners and she works full time. She has been paying for dental insurance, but it only covers $1000 lifetime benefit. (We are working with her to get better insurance)

She currently is missing her front two teeth because she can not afford the partial. She told me that she loves to smile, but the gap in her teeth has made her really insecure.

We want to make her smile again!

I continue to pray for this woman and all others who I hear about. Reading her situation touched my heart as I have been a victim of domestic violence too,. Some of my teeth were missing and I TOTALLY understand losing the desire to smile when you love to smile !!! Being a victim of domestic violence impacts. So much of how you feel about yourself and I pray that she will continue to remember her identity is in Christ, not in how he tried to crush her spirit. I pray for continued healing and comfort in Jesus.
Thank you for helping her, and everyone!!!
You are truly reaching out and sharing the love of Jesus Christ !!
I pray this woman continues to move forward and her smile lights up. Her life again !!
    God Bless you!
    In Christ,
